How long should a resume be?
One page is right for most people, especially with under 10 years of experience. Go to two pages only if you have a decade or more of directly relevant work and every line earns its place. Three-plus pages is only for academic CVs. Length is not the goal — relevance is; recruiters skim in seconds.
The one-page myth exists because recruiters spend 6–8 seconds on a first pass. A tight one-pager forces you to lead with your strongest, most relevant achievements instead of listing everything you've ever done.
If you're senior and genuinely need two pages, put the most important content — recent roles and quantified wins — on page one, since that's what gets read.
