面BI 开发工程师(英文:BI Developer)岗位时,英文面试通常分三块:行为面试题(考经历)、专业问题(考技能)、以及你的提问。下面按这三块整理,并给出回答框架。
先掌握 STAR 框架
英文行为面试几乎都用 STAR 结构回答,这是国外面试官期待的说话方式:
S — Situation 情境
1 句话交代背景
T — Task 任务
你的目标/职责是什么
A — Action 行动
你具体做了什么(占 60% 篇幅)
R — Result 结果
量化结果:数字、百分比、时间

“Tell me about a time you delivering dashboards leaders rely on.”
💡 面试官想看你BI 开发工程师最核心的产出能力。用 STAR:说清背景、你的具体动作、以及可量化的结果。
“Describe a situation where attention to detail made a difference in your work.”
💡 软技能题。挑一个真实冲突或困难场景,重点讲你怎么做,而不是形容自己"擅长沟通"。
“Walk me through a project where you had to modeling data for self-service analytics.”
💡 讲一个完整项目:目标 → 你的角色 → 遇到的阻碍 → 结果数字。控制在 2 分钟内。
“Tell me about a time something went wrong. What did you do?”
💡 别说"我没犯过错"。选一个真实失误,重点放在你怎么补救、以及之后如何改进流程。
BI 开发工程师常见专业问题
围绕这个岗位的核心技能(SQL、Power BI、Tableau、data modeling等)展开,准备时每个都配一个真实例子:
- “How do you approach delivering dashboards leaders rely on?”

英文面试最后一定会问 “Do you have any questions for us?”,说没有会严重扣分。准备 2–3 个:

- “What are the biggest challenges the team is facing right now?”
